B is for...
What else could B be for... B is for Baby!
No, I'm not having another one right now. I'd like to in the somewhat near future, but not right now.
As I have passed that time of my life when all my friends were getting married, it now seems that everyone I know is having a baby. As I mentioned yesterday, my nephew is only just a year old, so still a baby. My maid of honor is due in October (won't tell us what she's having...but I still say boy!). And, at the office I just started at, my VP is due in September, and my co-worker's wife just had a c-section on Wednesday. (Just came home from the hospital yesterday, and he came in for the morning today...)
Plus, it doesn't help that Ethan is closer to 4 than he is to 3 now, and he is certainly not a baby anymore. He'll have his clingy moments, and insists on being carried more often than I would like, but he is a very independent little guy, and incredibly smart. Plus, we reached two of our big "Not a Baby" milestones this past week: he's decided (successfully!) that he doesn't need a diaper at bedtime anymore, and had me take the railing off his bed. Now, my little man is just like his dad, sleeping in a t-shirt and underwear. Of course, dad doesn't sleep with two pacifiers, but I'm not ready to take them away just yet.
Of course, the fact that Ethan's bedroom is really big enough for a crib as well doesn't help the No Baby Right Now thing...
