Today at nap time, I decided to amuse Ethan by making up a story about him and his cousin, Baby Declan. Now, this is Ethan's favorite kind of story. EVER.
There are some variations, but Ethan's favorite parts have to do with Baby Declan being trapped on a mountain, Ethan climbing the mountain (with a ladder) to rescue him, and fighting bad guys with a lightsaber. He also likes it when airplanes are involved, especially anthropomorphic ones that will take to him. Of course, Ethan always wins, and they get to go for a picnic at the end.
I thought I'd share this all with you, especially as I know my sister reads this, and she should know what the heck Ethan's talking about, as he will go up to everyone and tell them how he rescued Baby Declan from a mountain.
Oh dear.
Anywho, Ethan's is purple, Declan's is green.
Though I am sad I forgot the rest of those mango slices at the hotel. :(
I'm going to be an auntie today!!! My BIL woke us up at 3 this morning to let me know my sister's water broke. (And then apologized profusely for waking us up...seriously, IT'S OKAY!!) So I'm looking forward to the phone call today to get all the details.
In the meantime, I hope she's relatively comfortable at the hospital. My own "labor" lasted all of an hour and 16 minutes, so I'm interested to see how things go here. I'll give a ring on my way into work to see how things are going.
Yay!! I'm going to be Auntie Jenn!! Who wants to buy me a plane ticket for this weekend??
EDITED TO ADD: Yay!! Welcome to my nephew, born 4:34 pm on August 2nd, 2006. 6 lbs, 7 oz...19 inches long. And he's just too damn cute!!
